404 in New York

Hello from New York!! My neighbor has a 1955 404 that I could buy him. He said that he was a French military model. My question is this: are the first 404 French soldiers different from the other 404 in other countries? Thank you

Hello googledave ,most of the French unimogs 404S  was assigned to the FFA (french army in germany ) ,excepted  the specific paint draw on the bumper,the doors and the hood (which indicate the regiment they belong) they are not specific for French Army(404.0 and 404.1). Like the rest of the world,there was a lot of different model of 404's model used in the army.
If you have a picture of the paints draw,we can certainly find the regiment they're come from.
